Bookkeeping for people who'd rather be making music.

Most of the time you barely notice you're doing bookkeeping at all. You just capture the money — a fee, a ticket, a receipt — and Money sorts the rest. Whatever comes of it is yours, and exports in full whenever you want. Here's what it does:

Money thinks in dates, not receipts

A gig has a date and a place. Ordinary bookkeeping software still starts from the receipt and waits for you to hand it over. Money starts from the event, and travel and expenses follow from it on their own — so come tax time you're not digging through bank statements to work out which trip belonged to which night.

Teaching works the same way: a lesson you gave is an event like any other — entered in Teaching, visible in Money, settled at the end of the month.

Your country's tax rules, added over time

Tax rules are specific to each country, and Money starts without them: you capture everything cleanly, and your accountant applies the local rules to a set of numbers that's already in order. That's the honest version — Money keeps the year straight, it doesn't do your return.

Country by country, that local logic gets built in. Germany is first — with the VAT exemptions that concerts and lessons can carry, and the small-business rule — so there, nothing has to be looked up by hand. More countries follow. When yours is in, the same page you already use simply starts applying your rules.

Nothing gets booked without you

The automation arrives at beta, and it only goes one way: Money reads a suggestion off a photo, a forwarded confirmation or a line in your bank statement, and puts it in front of you. Nothing is booked until you agree — nothing happens behind your back.

What Money doesn't do

Two things Money leaves alone. It doesn't advise you: it captures and prepares, and filing stays with you or your accountant — a tax return carries responsibility no software should take on. And it hides nothing: Money keeps an honest, unchangeable journal, corrections run through reversals, and the export is always complete.
